Social Media Tips 2017

Why to Use Social Media in 2018? Because it is where the bulk of where today’s attention is.

I recently heard an amazing podcast by GaryVee. Social Media is a Game Changer. My ears perked up immediately.
I use it- Mainly Facebook and Instagram. This podcast was beyond interesting to me and inspired this blog post.

How to Use Social Media for the Most Return in Marketing

  • Inspired by Gary Vee Podcast
  • Figure out what you are going to sell and make sure you believe in it.
  • Give it away for Free. Give more than you take.
  • Buy Facebook Ads because it’s cheaper than other advertising avenues. But don’t use it for sales immediately. Use it to build brand loyalty.
  • Facebook is a branding platform, put out valuable content.
  • Put out content at the lowest possible cost.

Use the following steps:

  1. Build Brand.
  2. Create Awareness- Use a video or something to capture attention and give value.
  3. Opportunity will be created long term and then you can move into the sale.
  4. Influencer marketing works. Gather influencers and create a movement. “everyone is talking about you”
  5. Figure out if you are best at writing, talking, or charismatic enough for video. And triple down on your strengths.
Note:
There’s a fundamental difference between Branding, Marketing, and Sales.
The branding part is creating audience loyalty. Recognition on the content your following receives for FREE builds the loyalty.
Once you have the foundation, continue to give. And keep giving. Think long term. Go all brand. Finally, go in for the “ask” after a year or so. Patience. It takes an incredible amount of patience.

Do this and you will WIN with Social and Content

  • Pay attention
  • Deploy patience
  • Deploy long term thinking
  • Start selling something you believe in
  • Sell something at a price that is valuable to the market in a competitive set
  • Bring more value
  • Be on top of where people are.
  • Be current
  • Be everything and good things will happen
  • Don’t waiver. If you do you will fail.
